In the field of mobility, the role of battery driven electric powertrain is increasing day by day. Key feature for the most advanced Hardware-In-the-Loop systems is the capability to simulate the behaviour of a complete battery pack. In order to succesfully fulfil test requirements of electric powertrain systems, BMS or generic charging stations, the capability to have regenerative battery simulator and a programmable SW model, it allows engineers to speed-up test phases.
Fast acces to state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) indexes, the capability to simulate the thermal behavior of the battery pack and the availability of a customizable SW model, are crucial features in order to reduce both costs and development times of a system dedicated to E-mobility.
The potential to simulate track laps or the ordinary homologation cycles makes Alma Automotive's battery simulation system the ideal architecture for any type of use in the test bed facilities.
