OBI-R

OBI-R is the combustion analysis system designed by Alma Automotive for racing and motorsport applications.
A highly compact and complete solution, engineered for the most demanding conditions, validated through over 10 years on Formula 1 cars and also usable on both test benches and traditional on-board setup.

Designed for on-board use, OBI-R delivers rapid results, supporting closed-loop control strategies and next-cycle engine interventions.
It can also detect any exceedance of set limits and save raw data with a pre-event and post-event history, thanks to 32 GB of integrated memory.

The system connects directly to McLaren® TAG ECU family scope out. Alternatively, OBI-R can be connected to a standard VRS crankshaft position sensors without any crank angle adapter.
If needed, an Alfa Centauri or Champion-4R charge amplifier can be integrated for piezoelectric pressure sensors conditioning.

The dedicated user interface allows real-time transmission of cylinder pressure signals via Ethernet, enabling fast visualization and post-processing analysis.
Compact and lightweight, the device can be easily installed on-board and is also ideal for engine calibration optimization on test benches, thanks to the provided combustion indicators.
